In a groundbreaking partnership, Chipotle Mexican Grill has teamed up with Ohio State University to provide over 1,000 Buckeye athletes with free meals during the 2024-25 school year. Every scholarship and walk-on athlete will receive a customized Chipotle card, allowing them to enjoy one free entrée per week throughout their respective athletic seasons. This initiative is part of Chipotle's "Real Food for Real Athletes" program, which focuses on providing proper nutrition through fresh ingredients to support athletes' performance on and off the field.

This partnership underscores Chipotle's strong connection with the Ohio State community, with the company citing that OSU is among the top five universities in terms of Chipotle consumption. The collaboration also includes the launch of an advertisement featuring Ohio State football stars like TreVeyon Henderson and Jeremiah Smith, narrated by Buckeye legend Archie Griffin. Additionally, Chipotle's nonprofit, The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, will offer a four-year scholarship to a student pursuing agricultural studies at OSU.

This move by Chipotle is unique in that it supports all athletes, not just star players typically involved in NIL deals, emphasizing its commitment to fueling student-athletes with real food to support their academic and athletic excellence.
