Danubio Fútbol Club, commonly known as Danubio, is a professional football club based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Established on March 1, 1932, the club has a rich history and has achieved success in Uruguayan football. Danubio is one of the traditional clubs in Uruguay and competes in the top tier of Uruguayan football, the Primera División. The team plays its home matches at the Jardines del Hipódromo stadium, located in Montevideo. The club's colors are green and black, and they are nicknamed "La Franja" (The Stripe) due to the distinctive green and black striped pattern on their jerseys.
